Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g pasta
  • 400 g minced beef
  • 2 large cans of tomatoes, peeled
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tbsp Italian herbs
  • 100 g cheese (Emmental), grated
  • salt and pepper
  • some oil for frying
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

without pre-cooking pasta

Peel and finely dice the onion, and fry it vigorously in a little oil. Then add the ground beef and fry it vigorously. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 200°C. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Add the peeled tomatoes, crushed garlic, and Italian herbs, and bring to a boil. Season again to taste. Finally, fold in the sour cream. Grease a baking dish and fill it with the uncooked pasta. Then pour the ground beef and tomato mixture over it and sprinkle with cheese. Place the pasta bake in the oven and bake for about 25 minutes. Serve with herb baguette. Note: The pasta must be completely covered in the sauce, otherwise it won’t all cook.
