Shashik Sauce
The perfect shashik sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Onion, great
- 1 Can Canned tomatoes, great
- 300 ml Tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Curry
- 1 tsp Paprika powder (smoked)
- 1 tbsp Oregano
- Tabasco, possibly
- Worcester sauce, possibly
- 200 ml Coke
- Oil
- 3 Garlic marriage
- Dice the onion and garlic and fry in a little oil. Add tomatoes with juice, ketchup, sugar, curry, paprika, Coca-Cola and oregano. Season to taste with salt and simmer for about 30 minutes over low heat. Season the sauce with Tabasco (if desired) and Worcester sauce.
- Serve with french fries or rice.
- The sauce is enough for up to 6 skewers, otherwise increase the amount of sauce ingredients accordingly.
