Khachapuri with mozzarella and minced meat

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pack of pizza dough with tomato sauce, approx. 600 g
  • 1 ball of mozzarella, approx. 125 g
  • 12 tomatoes, dried
  • 250 g minced meat
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 pack of grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 salt and pepper
  • chives for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

First, slice the mozzarella and then cut it in half lengthwise to create longer strips. Roll out the pizza dough and arrange the mozzarella strips and sun-dried tomatoes on the left and right edges, then roll them up into the crust. Leave a little space at the ends so that you can join the ends together. It should be roughly oval, like a boat. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, chop the onion and garlic clove, and mix in. Place the meat mixture in the center of the dough and cover with cheddar cheese. Crack open a raw egg and let it run over the center. Bake on a baking sheet on the middle rack in an oven preheated to 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 25 minutes. Garnish with chives at the end.
