Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ½ orange(s)
  • 1 lime(s)
  • 2 tbsp brown cane sugar
  • 6 leaves peppermint, fresh
  • 5 ice cubes
  • 400 ml carbonated mineral water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Sold around Lake Balaton as “homemade lemonade”.

Cut the lime into eighths and place it in a 0.5-liter glass with the cane sugar and peppermint leaves. Squeeze and squash well with a wooden muddler. Add the sixth-sixteenth orange and squeeze gently with the muddler. Add ice and top up with sparkling water. Season to taste with cane sugar. Very refreshing for hot summer days! Sold around Lake Balaton as “Homemade Lemonade.” Variations: Add more orange and/or lime to taste. Top up partially or completely with ginger ale. Use a little less cane sugar, however, or it will be too sweet.
