Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 2 ½ kg cherry(s) (dark sweet cherries), pitted
- 2 kg sugar
- 4 tsp almond extract
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Heat the pitted cherries with the sugar—do not boil—until the cherries release their juice. Then simmer gently until the juice thickens. Remove from the heat and add the almond extract and lemon juice. Simmer for another 10-15 minutes.
