Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 onion(s), diced
- 1 garlic clove(s), chopped
- 100 g pearl barley
- 1 ½ liters of water
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 potatoes, cut into cubes
- Vegetable broth, granulated
- Salt
- butter
- Parsley or chives, chopped

Country style, quick and kids love it
Sauté the onion, garlic, and vegetables in butter, then add the pearl barley and fry until translucent. Pour in water, season with granulated stock, and cook until softened, adding salt if desired. Serve the soup with freshly chopped herbs. Instead of pearl barley, you can also make the soup with rice or Ebly.
