Vegan wontons in spicy hot and sour sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 10 WanTan, vegan, or other vegan dumplings
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vinegar, dark, Chinese
  • 1 tbsp chili bean paste (Toban Djan)
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • some coriander, chopped
  • 1 spring onion(s), sliced, for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 18 minutes

The perfect soul warmer for cold days

Combine the sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Heat enough water in a saucepan. Cook the dumplings according to the package instructions. Once the dumplings are cooked, remove the liquid with a slotted spoon and place it in a bowl. Pour the sauce over the dumplings, mix well, and serve sprinkled with the spring onions. If the sauce is too thick, you can add another 1-2 tablespoons of the cooking water to thin it out.
