Green beans with herbs of Provence

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g beans (princess beans), frozen or fresh, cleaned
  • 1 tbsp dried herbs of Provence
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, crushed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt or seasoning
  • possibly shallot(s), chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Briefly sauté the fresh, trimmed beans (frozen beans straight from the package without liquid) in a wide pan with olive oil. Add the garlic and sauté briefly. Then stir in the herbs, add salt or seasoning, and let the beans simmer gently in their own juices with the lid on. Stir occasionally, but don’t lift the lid too often to prevent too much steam from escaping. If desired, you can also sauté a chopped shallot.
