- 500 g fig(s), ripe
- 500 g puff pastry, frozen
- 3 egg whites
- 1 egg yolk
- 200 g ground almonds
- 150 g powdered sugar
- oil

Spread out the puff pastry, let it thaw, and then roll it out. Peel and halve the figs. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Stir in the almonds and sugar. Place half of the puff pastry in a baking dish, pulling up the edges. Prick the dough with a fork. Cut the remaining pastry into strips. Spread half of the egg white mixture on the pastry, then arrange the fig halves on top. Pour the remaining egg white mixture over the strips. Arrange the pastry strips in a lattice and brush with egg yolk. Bake at 200°C for 20-30 minutes. If desired, drizzle with whipped cream and warm chocolate sauce.
