Blueberry sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g blueberries
  • 200 g water
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract (see my recipe in the database)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 80 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 18 minutes

A delicious blueberry sauce, perfect for pancakes, crepes, ice cream and much more

Combine the blueberries in a small saucepan with the 200g water, sugar, and vanilla extract and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for about 6 minutes. Whisk the cornstarch with the remaining water until smooth. Once the blueberries are cooked, add the cornstarch and water mixture to the blueberries. Whisk until smooth and return to the stove briefly until the starch has thickened. The sauce should be slightly thicker, then it’s perfect. Enjoy!
