Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 can of beans (Broad beans – Fava Beans)
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 large beefsteak tomato(s)
  • 5 tbsp oil (peanut oil)
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter, creamy
  • 1 tsp broth
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 pinch of chili powder
  • 1 handful of feta cheese
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Ful – Foul – Broad Beans – Fava Beans

Empty the canned beans into a colander and rinse thoroughly. Dice the onion and sauté it in the peanut oil in a pot. Once lightly browned, add the crushed garlic clove. Add the chopped tomato to the pot and simmer until the tomato pieces are soft. Blend everything with an immersion blender and add the beans. Add a cup of water and the spices and simmer for 15 minutes. Mash some of the beans and stir in the peanut butter until the beans have thickened. Serve the beans on a plate, drizzle with oil, and sprinkle with crushed feta cheese and cumin. Serve with pita bread as a serving dish.
