- 1 handful of lamb’s lettuce, washed and sorted
- 1 onion(s), thinly sliced
- 2 rolls (pumpkin seed)
- 1 tbsp salad cream, light
- 1 tsp mustard or ketchup
- salt and pepper
- Cayenne pepper
- oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
With pumpkin seed wholemeal rolls
The buns are cut open and briefly toasted on both sides in a pan without any fat. The meat is portioned and formed into two patties. Heat oil in the pan and sear the patties. Season with salt and pepper, then turn over after 2-3 minutes and season again with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, the bun halves are spread with salad cream and mustard (or ketchup). The undersides are topped with a few leaves of lamb’s lettuce. Just before the patties are finished cooking, place a slice of cheese on each one until it melts, then place it on the underside of the bun. Place 1-2 onion rings and tomato slices on top, with the top of the bun facing up. Tip: Fried onions make it a bit crispier.
