Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg white cabbage
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 2 tsp onion(s), finely chopped
  • 40 g sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 60 ml milk
  • 60 g mayonnaise
  • 60 ml buttermilk
  • ½ tsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 15 minutes

American coleslaw

Finely grate the white cabbage and carrot. Combine the sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar, and lemon juice in a large bowl. Add the grated cabbage, carrot, and onion and mix well. Let it chill in the refrigerator for a few hours.
