Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 600 g pork or beef, diced for goulash
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 500 ml meat broth
- 250 g onion(s)
- 250 g carrot(s)
- 1 pinch of marjoram
- 100 g mushrooms (oyster mushrooms or chanterelles or other mushrooms)
- 1 medium-sized bell pepper(s)
- 500 g apples, sour
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Brown the meat in oil, add honey, tomato paste, crushed garlic cloves, and bay leaf, then top up with the meat broth. Cover and simmer for one hour. After 30 minutes, season with salt and pepper, add the chopped onions, finely chopped carrots, roughly chopped mushrooms, diced bell pepper, and marjoram. After another 15 minutes, add the peeled, cored, and sliced apples and simmer until simmered. Serve with pasta or mashed potatoes.
