Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g smoked bacon, fat, finely sliced
  • 1 onion(s), cut into thin slices
  • 350 g minced meat, mixed
  • ½ head of white cabbage, finely sliced, goes well with the slicer
  • 1 tbsp caraway seeds
  • 1 bay leaf, fresh if possible
  • 250 ml meat broth or bone broth
  • 500 g pasta, of your choice

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

White cabbage, healthy and tasty

In a pan, slowly fry the onions in the melted bacon until translucent, then sear the minced meat. Sauté the cabbage vigorously; it’s okay if it gets a little darker. Add the caraway seeds and bay leaf. Pour in the stock and simmer over low heat. After about 30 minutes, season with salt and pepper and cook briefly longer. Meanwhile, cook the pasta until al dente, drain, and stir into the cabbage. Spätzle (spaetzle) is also delicious instead of pasta.
