Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour, type 550
  • 100 g butter
  • 75 g sugar
  • 6 g salt
  • 1 small egg(s)
  • 225 g milk
  • 1 cube of yeast
  • ½ butter-vanilla flavoring, small tube
  • 1 rum flavoring, small tube
  • 200 g raisins
  • 1 small egg(s)
  • 1 shot of milk
  • n. B. almond sticks
  • n. B. Sugar granules

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Just as it should be!

For the dough: All ingredients should be at room temperature. Dissolve the yeast in the milk, add it to the other ingredients (except the raisins) in a bowl, and knead well (in a food processor on second gear for about 8 minutes). Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size. Add the raisins and knead in. Divide the dough into three equal pieces, then shape into strands and braid. Let rise again until noticeably larger. Beat the egg with a splash of milk, brush the plait with it, and sprinkle with slivered almonds and sugar. Bake at 180°C for about 30 minutes.
