Cauliflower with ginger

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g cauliflower
  • ¾ tsp cumin
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger, freshly grated
  • 1 pinch(s) red chili powder
  • ¼ tsp cumin powder
  • 1 pinch(s) garam masala
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the cauliflower into florets. Crush the cumin seeds. Heat the oil in a wok and fry the ginger. After about 30 seconds, add the crushed cumin seeds, chili powder, and cumin powder and fry briefly. Then stir in 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon of salt and add the cauliflower. Sprinkle the cauliflower with garam masala and mix everything well; the cauliflower florets should be evenly coated with the oil and spices. Cover the cauliflower and cook over low heat. Adjust the doneness to your liking and serve.
