Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g meat sausage, sliced
  • 500 g onion(s), diced
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red, diced
  • 1 large can of tomatoes, peeled and diced
  • 500 ml tomato puree
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 200 ml water
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • oil
  • butter
  • Paprika powder
  • Tomato paste
  • Caraway, ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Heat oil in a pan and fry the sausage until well browned. Transfer to a saucepan. Next, fry the onions with butter in the pan, then add them to the pan. Finally, fry the diced bell pepper and add it to the pan. Fill with tomatoes, tomato puree, and water, then add the tomato paste. Season to taste with sugar, mustard, caraway seeds, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let the whole thing simmer for another half hour. Serve with pasta or rice. Tip: You can also use sweetener instead of sugar.
