Hazelnut loaves

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 eggs
  • 500 g sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod(s), scraped pulp
  • 800 g hazelnuts, finely grated
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 cl almond liqueur

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) using conventional oven heating. Beat the eggs with the sugar and a pinch of salt until frothy. Stir in the vanilla bean paste and almond liqueur. Stir in enough hazelnuts until the mixture is pliable. With wet hands, place walnut-sized dumplings on a baking sheet and flatten slightly. Bake the hazelnut dumplings for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
