Healthy fries with hot fruits and vanilla ice cream

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 large apple
  • 2 tbsp berries (forest fruits, frozen)
  • 4 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp juice or liqueur or water (to taste)
  • 1 scoop of ice cream (vanilla ice cream)
  • possibly cinnamon or vanilla or similar

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Tam Tam – Fries! Fries with a twist. The best apple fries, fat-free!

Place the berries in a small saucepan, add the juice or liqueur and the powdered sugar, and simmer for a few minutes while stirring. Season to taste with more powdered sugar (you can also experiment with cinnamon, vanilla, or other spices). When the berries are soft, remove the pan from the heat and keep warm. Peel and core the apple, then halve it. Place the cut-side down and cut into even slices about the thickness of French fries. Turn the apple over and cut again to the same thickness to create sticks that look like French fries. Arrange these sticks on a plate so that the center of the plate is still visible. Top with the berries and sauce, and place the scoop of ice cream in the middle. Even the kids love it! The fruit sauce is also great for freezing and can be quickly reheated in the microwave. This makes it even faster.
