Mixed salad with tomato sauce

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 lettuce or iceberg lettuce
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 1 bell pepper(s), yellow
  • 1 cucumber(s)
  • 1 pack of sheep’s cheese
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 large garlic clove(s)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 ½ tsp herbal salt (e.g. Herbamare)
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper, optional
  • 1 bunch of chives or other favorite herbs of your choice

quick and easy salad as a side dish

For the salad, first wash the lettuce, bell peppers, and cucumber, cut everything into bite-sized pieces, and place them in a bowl. Dice the package of feta cheese and add it. For the sauce, wash the tomatoes and puree them in a blender with the peeled garlic clove. Add the lemon juice and olive oil and season with herb salt and pepper. Just before serving, pour the sauce over the salad and mix. Finely chop the chives or other herbs and sprinkle them over the salad last. Tip: Goes well with warm meatballs, drops, or croquettes.
