Peppers with quark and herder cheese filling

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g quark (20% fat)
  • 250 g shepherd’s cheese
  • 4 medium-sized bell peppers
  • 120 g mountain cheese or other spicy cheese, such as Emmental

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Wash the peppers, halve them, and remove the seeds and stems. Mash the feta cheese with a fork, then add the quark and mix well. Fill the halved peppers to the brim with the quark and feta cheese mixture. Cut or grate the mountain cheese into thin slices and sprinkle over the stuffed pepper halves. Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes, until the cheese on top is golden brown and melted. Serve with salad! Two pepper halves make one serving.
