Wholemeal spelt waffles

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup, or agave or fruit syrup
  • 50 g margarine, dairy-free
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 250 ml carbonated water
  • 200 g spelt flour (wholemeal)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

without egg, for 4 waffles

Combine the flour with the salt and cinnamon. Mix the margarine with the maple syrup, whole-wheat flour, and water until a thick batter forms. Let it rest for about 30-60 minutes. Then stir thoroughly again, preheat the waffle iron, and bake four waffles one after the other.
