Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 6 rolls, or a white bread from the day before
- ¼ liter of milk
- 1 large onion(s)
- 2 eggs
- some flour
- salt and pepper
- 5 eggs
- Oil, for frying
Instructions

good way to use up old rolls and white bread
Cut the bread or rolls into small cubes and place them in a bowl. Heat the milk (do not boil) and pour it over the bread cubes. Let it stand for about 5 minutes. Stir in the eggs, mix in the finely chopped onion, add a little flour, and salt and pepper to taste. Form the mixture into even-sized dumplings. This works best with wet hands. Place the dumplings in boiling salted water. Reduce the heat slightly and simmer for about 15-20 minutes. Remove the dumplings from the pot, cut into pieces, and fry in a large pan with a little oil. Whisk the remaining eggs and pour them over the dumplings, stirring until the eggs set. Tastes delicious with a drizzle of pumpkin seed oil and a green salad.
