Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 slices of bread (e.g. Low Carb Bread – My Best II)
  • 1 large fig(s), fresh
  • e.g. cream cheese or goat’s cheese
  • some honey
  • some rosemary, dried

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

something completely different, also low carb possible

Toast the bread slices. Spread the slices with cream cheese, using the amount you like. Wash the figs and cut them into thin slices. Place the fig slices on the bread, drizzle with honey, and sprinkle with rosemary. Here, I used Low Carb Bread – My Best II. You can use cream cheese made from cow’s or goat’s milk. Instead of honey, you can use coconut blossom syrup for the low-carb version. This is said to have a low glycemic index. However, it’s okay to use a little honey once in a while on a low-carb diet. As long as you eat it rarely and in small quantities, it’s fine. With a low-carb diet, your daily intake of carbohydrates counts. Figs have 12.9 carbohydrates per 100g.
