Spicy tomato puff pastry squares

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 roll of topping dough
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 jar pesto, green
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Thyme
  • marjoram
  • 1 bottle of Cremefine
  • 2 small shallots

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the puff pastry into squares and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the puff pastry with Cremefine and season with salt, pepper, paprika, or herbs as desired. Slice the tomatoes and place them on the squares. Finely dice the shallots and sprinkle over the tomatoes. Add a dollop of pesto to each. Bake in a medium oven at 180°C (350°F) for 10 to 20 minutes, until the puff pastry is golden brown. Enjoy warm or cold with wine. Tip: The squares are also delicious in a mini version with cherry tomatoes.
