Vegan burger patties

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 240 g kidney beans, drained weight
  • 60 g oat flakes, fine
  • 25 g wholemeal flour, e.g. spelt or wholemeal wheat flour
  • 1 onion(s), red
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vegetable stock powder
  • 1 tbsp mustard, medium hot
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 1 tsp thyme, dried
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • some salt and pepper
  • some oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Finely chop the onion and garlic. Drain and rinse the kidney beans, then puree them into a fine paste. Add the remaining ingredients and knead until a smooth dough forms. Let the dough rest for a few minutes, then form three equal-sized patties. Fry the patties on both sides until crispy and golden brown.
