Oriental green beans

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g beans, flat, broad, green, ready to cook
  • 1 onion(s), chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • ½ bunch flat-leaf parsley, chopped
  • 1 class can/n tomatoes, coarsely chopped, with juice
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp, levelled sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

as a side dish or starter

Halve the beans diagonally. Heat olive oil in a saucepan, fry the onions over medium heat until translucent, add the garlic, and fry briefly. Add the beans, tomatoes with their juice, tomato paste dissolved in 100 ml of warm water, salt, pepper, and sugar to the pan. Cover and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes, then add the parsley and cook for another 5 minutes. Can be eaten hot or cold.
