Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 m.-large pear(s), not quite ripe
  • 500 g plum(s)
  • 250 g rock sugar
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 1 bottle of dry red wine

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel and core the pears. Cut into quarters and then quarter again. The plums can be pitted, but it’s not necessary. If the stone is difficult to remove, simply pierce it with a fork. Then mix the red wine with the sugar and cinnamon and heat until the sugar dissolves. Add the fruit and bring to a boil. Immediately fill into screw-top jars. Tastes great with game or sweet dishes, such as ice cream, rice pudding, and semolina.
