Vegan and low FODMAP. A recipe for electric and manual pressure cookers.
Roughly mix the ingredients with a spoon and then knead by hand for a few minutes to form a dough. If you know in advance what you’re using the seitan for, you can add appropriate spices to the dough. Garlic and onion powder should be avoided in patients with irritable bowel syndrome. Cover the bottom of the pressure cooker with water and place the dough on a suitable steamer insert. After the pressure has built up, the seitan needs to cook for 20 minutes. For electronic pressure cookers, enter 20 minutes as the cooking time. Release the steam immediately after cooking. The seitan can now be sliced or chopped, or minced in a food processor. 167 kcal per serving
