Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg apples
  • 6 tbsp water
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • ½ vanilla pod(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Peel and quarter the apples. Bring to a boil along with the water and sugar. Add the cinnamon stick and vanilla pod and cook until soft. Remove both and puree the apples. Pour the applesauce into preserving jars and cook for about 30 minutes at 90°C. This recipe makes 2 jars of applesauce.
