Millet fritters

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ carrot(s)
  • ½ stalk(s) leek
  • ½ onion(s)
  • 1 cup(s) millet (approx. 200 – 250 ml content)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp vegetable stock, granulated
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp chervil, chopped
  • Fat for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Chop the vegetables very finely, place them in a cold pan with millet, water, vegetable stock, and the bay leaf, boil for 5 minutes, and let stand for 20 minutes. Mix the chervil into the cooled millet mixture and form small, flat fritters. Fry in a pan with hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
