Yellow pea soup – quick and delicious!

Dice the bacon and onions and fry in a large pot until browned. Crush the garlic cloves, add them to the pot, and fry briefly. Now add the peas and their liquid, the peeled and diced or striped potatoes, the bay leaves, oregano, or savory, and pour in water until everything is covered. Add salt (about a level teaspoon) and pepper to taste and bring to a boil. Now cover and simmer gently on low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add a little more water if necessary. When the potatoes are cooked, slice the sausages, add them to the soup, and heat for a few minutes. Season to taste with pepper, salt, and Maggi. If the soup is too thin, simply add a little oil to a pan, brown 1-2 tablespoons of flour, and stir this into the boiling soup.
