Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 cucumber(s)
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s), white or red
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 cup sour cream (10% fat)
  • 1 cup crème fraîche (30% fat)
  • 2 tbsp vinegar (optional)
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tsp, heaped herbs, Italian

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes

First, peel the onion and garlic. Finely dice the onion, and either press the garlic clove with a garlic press or dice it very finely. Peel the cucumber and cut it into thin slices. Then place it in a sufficiently large bowl with the sour cream and crème fraîche. Add the onion and garlic. Mix everything together and season with salt, a little pepper, and the Italian herbs. Don’t be afraid to add salt; adjust to your own taste. Then cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours to marinate. Adjust seasoning if desired and stir in another 1-2 tablespoons of spiced vinegar if desired. The vinegar can be added, but it doesn’t have to be.
