Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
a cabbage dish with a twist for cold winter days
Trim the savoy cabbage and chop into large pieces, peel and slice the apple. Slice the carrots and dice the onion. Heat the oil, fry the bacon briefly, and add the onion. After 3 minutes, add the honey, carrots, and apple pieces, followed by another 3 minutes of the savoy cabbage. Now simmer gently in a covered pan. Occasionally pour in the vegetable stock and add a little salt and pepper. When the savoy cabbage begins to shrink, stir once. At the end of the cooking time, remove the lid and continue cooking until the liquid has evaporated. Add the cream and season again with salt and pepper. Tastes great with pork fillet. I like it very much on its own.
