Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 rolls (hamburger)
  • 4 fish fillet(s) (pollock)
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 4 gherkins
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 tbsp fried onions
  • Remoulade
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly dill
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Wash the fish and pat dry. Wash, trim, and slice the tomatoes. Slice the cucumbers. Wash and pat dry the lettuce leaves. Peel the onion and thinly slice. Fry the fish in hot oil for about 2-3 minutes on each side, then season with salt and pepper. Bake the bread rolls and cut them open. Spread the bottom halves with remoulade and top each with a lettuce leaf. Arrange the fish, tomato, onion, and cucumber on top. Spread the remaining remoulade and the fried onions on top, then cover with the top half of the bread roll. Garnish with dill, if desired.
