Pasta casserole with chicken

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 2 chicken breasts, chopped
  • 150 g pasta (e.g. macaroni)
  • 1 onion(s), small, chopped
  • 1 carrot(s), small, chopped
  • 2 slice(s) bacon (breakfast bacon), chopped
  • 1 zucchini, diced
  • 250 g tomatoes, pureed
  • 50 g sour cream
  • 90 g cheese, grated (e.g. Gouda)
  • oil
  • Butter, for greasing the mold
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the pasta al dente and drain well. Fry the diced fillets in the oil over high heat until browned but not yet cooked. Remove from the pan and drain well on kitchen paper. Fry the chopped onion, carrot, and bacon slices over medium heat for 10 minutes, then add the zucchini and passata. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Mix the pasta, meat, tomato sauce, and sour cream together, season with salt and pepper, and pour into a shallow, greased dish. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for 20 minutes at 180°C until golden brown.
