Chocolate rice pudding

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 650 ml milk
  • 125 g rice pudding
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 100 g chocolate
  • some vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 vanilla pod(s), optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

First, wash the rice pudding and set it aside. Next, heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a deep saucepan, add the rice pudding, and fry briefly in the butter. Then add the milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Alternatively, you can cook a vanilla pod with the rice and remove it later. Bring the rice pudding to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat on the stovetop to low, or place the pot on a second stovetop that is only heating on low heat. Now cover the pot and let it rest for 30-45 minutes. Check on it every now and then (about every 10 minutes) and stir if necessary. After the resting time, remove the pot from the heat and add the chocolate of your choice, stirring until it is completely melted. Then let it stand for another 30 minutes with the lid closed.
