Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 cups rice
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 large onions, finely diced
  • 4 tbsp oat flakes
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 8 slices of cheese
  • 400 ml vegetable stock
  • Clarified butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Cook the rice in the vegetable broth. Sauté the onion in a little clarified butter until translucent. Mix the cooked rice with the onions, eggs, parsley, and oatmeal until a firm dough forms. If the dough is still too soft, add the oatmeal. Form flat patties and fry in hot oil. Place a slice of cheese between two patties and place in the pan. Simmer with the lid closed until the cheese has melted. Serve with a mixed salad.
