Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 rolls, from the previous day
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 100 g butter

Instructions

quick, easy and awesome

Lightly grate the crusts from the rolls and cut them in half. Whisk together the sugar, eggs, a pinch of salt, and milk, and dip the roll halves in the milk. Melt some of the butter in a roasting pan, layer the rolls, scatter the remaining butter in small pieces on the rolls, and pour the egg mixture over them. Bake at 175°C (350°F) or 155°C (310°F) for about 30 minutes. Serve with vanilla sauce or compote.
