Potato goulash

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g potatoes
  • 2 sausages (or 300 g sausage or cooked meat)
  • 350 ml soup or water
  • 3 onions
  • 4 tbsp lard or oil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • marjoram

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Peel the onions and dice them together with the sausages or meat. Peel and quarter the potatoes. Heat the fat and fry the diced onions until golden brown. Add the paprika, stir through, and immediately deglaze with vinegar. Immediately add the stock or water. Peel and finely press the garlic. Add the potatoes, garlic, marjoram, and spices and cook, stirring frequently, until the potatoes are soft and creamy. Add the sausage or meat just before the end of the cooking time and cook for a few minutes. Serve hot.
