Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 pack of yeast
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 125 g butter
  • 250 ml milk, some sugar
  • 1 small onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove(s), finely chopped
  • 200 g ham, cooked, cut into strips
  • 300 g vegetables, any, diced
  • 2 tbsp mixed herbs, finely chopped
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

For the filling, finely chop the onion and garlic and fry in a little oil. Add the noodle-shaped ham. Mix in the vegetables and finely chopped herbs and fry everything. Season with salt and pepper. Put the flour in a mixing bowl. Add a little sugar to a little milk and heat until lukewarm, then dissolve the yeast in it. Add the mixture to the flour and let it rise until a dough forms. Meanwhile, melt the butter, add the milk, and add a little salt. Stir the eggs into the flour mixture. Knead until a fine dough forms (this works best with a food processor). Let the dough rest for about 30 minutes, until it has doubled in size. Then place it on a floured work surface and roll it out into a rectangle. Spread the ham and vegetable filling on top and roll it up. Grease and flour a Bundt cake pan, place the dough in the shape of a ring, and brush with butter. Let it rest for a while. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for approximately 50 minutes. Remove the Bundt cake shortly before the end of the baking time and turn it out while still warm. Brush the top with butter and sprinkle with chopped herbs, then return it to the oven for a short time. This Bundt cake pairs well with grilled meat and sausages.
