Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of dumpling dough, e.g. for Thuringian dumplings or half/half (750 g)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 3 sprigs of parsley, finely chopped
  • 75 g ham, finely diced, optional
  • n. B. Panko
  • Clarified butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Place the dumpling dough in a bowl and mix with the egg, flour, and, if desired, diced ham. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir in the finely chopped parsley. Form the mixture into patties, approximately 1.5 cm thick and 10 cm in diameter. Coat the patties in panko breadcrumbs and fry in hot clarified butter for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown. These patties go well with any dish that would normally be served with potatoes.
