Asparagus in a dressing gown

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 stalk(s) asparagus, green
  • some salt
  • 8 slice(s) ham, raw
  • 30 g Parmesan, sliced
  • 1 pack of puff pastry (roll)
  • some milk, for spreading
  • some sesame seeds, for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Trim the asparagus and boil in salted water for about 5-8 minutes. Let cool. Place the ham slices on a work surface and scatter the shaved cheese on top. Wrap each asparagus spear with a slice of ham, leaving the head free. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into strips about 3 cm wide. Wrap the puff pastry strips around the ham and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the spears with milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for about 15 minutes until golden brown. Serve while still warm.
