Spicy rice casserole

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 150 g rice
  • 100 g ham or bacon, diced
  • 80 g cheese (Gouda), diced
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • nutmeg
  • Spice mix (soup seasoning)
  • Parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • Fat, for the shape

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cook the rice until al dente and let cool. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Mix the diced ham, diced cheese, and all the seasonings with the cream. Then stir in the rice, fold in the egg whites, pour the mixture into a greased pan, and bake for about 45 minutes at 160°C. Serve with a salad of your choice and, if desired, sauces.
