Oven-roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g Brussels sprouts
  • 100g bacon
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • Parmesan, freshly grated, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 220°C (top/bottom heat). Cut off the bottom of the Brussels sprouts and discard the outer leaves. Quarter the sprouts. Toss in a bowl with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Cut the bacon into strips. Place the marinated Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, placing the quartered sprouts next to each other if possible. Spread the bacon on top. Bake for 20 minutes on the middle rack. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
