Grandma's style celery salad

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 m.-large celeriac
  • 1,250 ml water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 1 dashes condensed milk
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 minutes; Total time approx. 22 minutes

Brush the celery root under running water. Bring 1250 ml of water to a boil with the salt and vinegar, add the celery root, and cook for about 1-2 hours until soft. Then remove, peel, and cut into small pieces. Whisk the oil with the vinegar and canned milk, add the onion, and season with salt and pepper. Add the celery pieces, mix, and season again if necessary.
