Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg pumpkin flesh
  • 750 g apples, sour
  • 250 g onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 125 g raisins
  • 250 g cane sugar
  • 250 ml white wine vinegar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • ½ tsp clove powder
  • ½ tsp curry powder
  • ½ tsp ginger powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
  • Salt
  • ¼ liter white wine

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

sweet and sour

Chop the pumpkin, apples, onions, and garlic. Sauté all ingredients along with 100 ml of the wine for 40 minutes. Stir occasionally; add more wine if too much liquid has evaporated. While still hot, pour into screw-top jars. This recipe makes about 8 jars.
