Pork loin steaks in malt beer sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 large onions
  • 600 g carrot(s)
  • 6 steak(s) (pork loin steaks)
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 liter malt beer
  • 250 ml meat broth
  • 6 slice(s) ham, raw
  • 6 tbsp sauce thickener, dark
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Aromat

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Peel the onions, slice them into rings, and sauté them. Peel the carrots and finely grate them. Season the meat and coat it in flour. Heat the oil and sear the meat for 3 minutes on each side. Place the onions, carrots, and bay leaves in a roasting pan and season generously (pepper, aromatics, paprika). Place the meat on top and pour over the malt beer and broth. Finally, place the ham on top of the steaks. Then place it in the oven and braise at 175 degrees (convection oven) for about 1 hour. Serve with steamed potatoes.
