Garlic Cakes

- 250 g Flour
- 125 ml Milk lukewarm
- 10 g Yeast fresh
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 2 Toes Fresh garlic
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 Egg whisked
- 40 g Liquid butter
- Herbs and spices to taste
- First mix the yeast with the lukewarm milk and sugar and keep warm.
- In the meantime, mix the flour, salt, and garlic together. Then mix in the yeast milk, butter and egg. If you want, you can now add herbs to the dough, such as wild garlic or spices such as pepper or chilli. How everyone likes it.
- Shape the dough into a ball and cover and keep warm for approx. 1 hour.
- When it has risen nicely, spread it out on a greased sheet or tin. Brush with beaten egg. Now top with herbs, spices, maybe mozzarella or tomatoes as desired. Drizzle some olive oil over it and cover it again for a few minutes and keep it warm so that it can rise again.
- Bake the flatbreads at 180-200 ° C for about 20 minutes in the preheated oven with O / U heat. I should have taken my flatbread out of the oven 5 minutes earlier, then it would be a little lighter. But it was still tasty. It goes well with grilled or in between meals.
